November Pharmacy Updates; Prescription Refills, Deliveries, and Nimble

First and foremost, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! This year I (Robert) am extremely thankful for all of your continued support of the pharmacy. I can't express how thankful I am for this opportunity to be able to server all of the Market Place Pharmacy Family and I look forward to continuing the service that Ray and Janice started over 44 years ago. We have rolled out with a few changes over the past month or so here at Market Place Pharmacy. One of the biggest changes is the Ordering Prescription Refill process. We have partnered with our software vendor to have a Mobile App and Online Prescription Portal that allows you to manage your prescription medications. This service is called Rx Local.


Rx Local allows you to manage not only your prescriptions but also your families medications as well. You can view your chart, order refills, flag medications as being discontinued, message the pharmacy, etc. This program allows patients to be in total control of their medications. Of course, you can always call us at 501-225-5056 and either leave a voicemail for refills or press option 0 (zero) to speak to someone in the pharmacy. Our prescription delivery service is still free of charge to our patients! To help reduce our costs on deliveries, we ask that every patient that needs a delivery on a regular basis to enroll in our Medication Synchronization (Med Sync) Program. This program is not a requirement for deliveries, however, it will allow our pharmacy to synchronize your medications to fill them on the same day every month and have the medications delivered before you need them again. This allows us to message you about 7 days prior to your medications being due and gives you the opportunity to tell us that you need X, Y, and Z medications or that you don't need A, B, or C medications this month. We can do Med Sync for a 30 day supply or 90 day supply, whichever is convenient for you.


Nimble Service - Our pharmacy recently partnered with Nimble. Nimble is a online checkout platform that allows patients to streamline the pickup / delivery process. Nimble allows you to pay and sign for your prescriptions and select over-the-counter medications completely online. When you arrive to the pharmacy, all we will need to do is verify who you are picking up and you'll be on your way in no time. Nimble will send you a text message saying you have a prescription ready and provide you with a link to continue the process online. From there you can see what medication(s) we have ready for you and select which ones you need / want. If there are multiple prescriptions ready, but you only need one or two of them, simply select the ones you want and checkout with them. Nimble will then tell us to return the other prescriptions until you need them. Using Nimble is not a requirement and you can always opt-out of this service. As of right now, there is no way for Nimble to charge medications to a Store Account, but they are working on a solution for this.
