CDC and it’s advisory committee have now approved PFIZER ONLY boosters for the following populations of people who are AT LEAST 6 MONTHS OUT from their second dose:
-65+ year olds
-18-64 year olds with underlying conditions (I.e. cancer, cerebrovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, COPD, Diabetes (Types 1 and 2), heart conditions, obesity, pregnancy, smoking)
-people living in long-term care facilities, group shelters, or prisons
-workers at increased risk of infection (I.e. education workers, healthcare workers, prison system workers)
All recipients MUST sign an attestation form stating they are eligible under the above conditions. Specific eligibility reasons will not be asked, nor will they be verified. It’s the honor system. You must bring your vaccination card, and history of Pfizer series will be verified. Boosters WILL NOT be given to people who received J&J or Moderna at this time.
